Can you change the way you do the finals? can you run it like the Si champs? on a points based system.

Ill let kev answer it for certain, but you still have the 3 finals. but it is run on a point system and you drop your worst final.
so how many laps you dont doesn't matter, it is whether you come 1st etc. So like a mini championship. It is a very fair system. As even if the race only manages to get 5 laps and you win, you still get the full points for winning instead of adding 5 laps to your count. I hope this is understandable.

And awesome. Ian will be there. I have bought a Mod now too, so that will count me in to that too.

Hi

Yes the SI Champs and most of the other electric races round the country use the IFMAR points system for finals results. Alycat has that setting so you can just switch it on!.

It works how Craig mentioned you, get a predetermined amount of points based of your finishing position for each leg of the finals. The points are structured to give more points for the person finishing first

eg
1st 10 points
2nd 8 Points
3rd 7 Points
4th 6 Points
5th 5 Points...etc

You drop your worst results and the total points for you two best rounds is your final results

Tie Breakers are not specifically handled in the NZRCA rules, but opinion seems the be "Highest" points from dropped round, if that still ended in tie, you could then go to fastest time in finals

Hope that makes sense
