If we want tyres for practice at the nats, is it possible to get them for the discounted rate through the club?

regards
Mike

Hi Mike,

Sorry the tyres can only be offered and that price for the event. For practise tyres best to see Stephen at Speedi Models, still at a good price!

Cheers

I rung speedi for some tyres for the international to practice with and he didn't have any.

Usually the practice tyres are to be purchased as part of the entry at all the major events I have been to. Can't we just deposit money into the North Harbour bank account and then the tyres be handed out on the Thursday and Friday for practice?

If that is not the case I can see we are going to be unable to source any practice tyres because you have choosen such an obscure tyre combo to run on, that is not easy to buy around the world and New Zealand.

Regards
Mike

Obscure? Hmm if you say so..
Tyres are available to purchase from both the club and Speedi Models all year round, off the top of my head they are something like $60 (I'd have to double check)
Michael if you want I can organise you some through the club, or you can organise them yourself through Stephen

Colin, in regards to Stephen being out of stock - that's odd, but I imagine he should be getting in a few hundred sets any time now for himself and the International

Cheers
Sam

Micheal probably means obscure, as maybe they are not stocked in the South Island by his LHS

But I am sure that Speedi can send them direct too him

I meant obscure because there is a really limited number of places you can buy these tyres from. The only places I have found that do stock them(or should stock them) are Speedi and one other shop in Australia. It would be helpful if there was a list of known places for people to go to. I didn't know you could buy them from the club until now....

I really want to know what other good tires are available through out the country...
Muchmore tires are high quality tires and always available. North Harbour Club has plenty of those. I can sell to anyone if they want some. There are more tires coming in Jan as well.

Speedi: Let us all know online when you have them in stock. I will take one or two sets for practice.

Nothing against Muchmore tyres at all (I have used many before with success), its just that the P/N combo for the nats is not the standard one sold around the world by most companies.

Regards
Mike
