A snap of what the track looks like.... Fully asphalted pit area, walk on drivers stand, full toilet facilities, and fine weather.
The surface is high grip, and temperatures can range from cold to fry an egg!

Is that green paint on the race surface in the foreground? What's the traction like there for 1/10th & 1/12th pan cars?

its green paint, but with a grip additive, used to be a netball complex , traction is good for both pan cars and f1, the more heat the better it gets.
We also use high vis rubber mats on the corners, they slow the cars without wrecking bits!

It's like fine grit applied in some sort of thin liquid coating - a bit like fine sandpaper, giving pretty much the perfect amount of grip. And it's smooth. Originally designed to stop netballers falling over.
The brighter green patch in front has been water blasted. The whole thing will get a clean before the event. Grip may be slightly better on the clean bit.

I think it's actually paint with sand added, which is commonly used as a cheap way to create a non-slip surface.

Will you guys alter the layout for the meeting, or is it going to run as shown?

Ahhhhh I love racing on tracks like that!

Would be nice if I could make this one.

I don't know whats cooler, this track or splash planet :D

The track will be the same as seen from space Matt, no changes. The surface is a little more hi tech than sand in the paint, the price was significant, and state of the art when it went down.
Not sure if splash planet will be open again by mid October, will let you all know, minus the pirate ship of course!!
The top 10 is just down the road.
