If you need help tuning then let us know. I'm more than happy to help. While I'm not the best tuner around I'm pretty sure we can get it running good enough. I always tend to run a tad rich to be safe. Don't be shy aye. There's a lot to learn and a lot to risk if you get it wrong. I almost gave up RC till I got help due to tuning.

Got it running pretty well in the end before i left...unfortunately no-one else is normally at the track when the wife gives the out pass (which is normally once a month at this stage)...so i've had no choice but to stumble my way through it :).. i've always been a "tutu fingers" and have a bit of mechanical and electrical background , you can just about learn anything from the net these days...if all goes wrong with engine number one , engine number two is ready to rock lol...anyway better get back to my day job.....
If your heading down at any time give me text on 021 2549949. With my shifts I'm often off during the week, so may well be available to give you a hand with the tuning.
Just be a little careful with internet and RC forum stuff. There are a lot of guys (especially on the US forums) that talk themselves up big time, and come across as seasoned pro's, but probably know just enough to be dangerous.
The other thing is, there is a lot of different carb designs out there - short needle vs long needle etc. What one guy might quite rightly say works for his motor, may be disastrous on yours if you lean it too much going on his instructions.
It is a steep learning curve, and most guys toast a motor or two, or three.....along the way in the early stages  .

Hopefully catch up soon.

Thanks Shane,

If i hadn't got it started in the weekend you were first on my list, used your spit test check throughout operation :) and the exhaust from my last visit out to yours, still got your business card on me and you're one of the closest for me to visit who has some motor expertise - re the net caution.....agreed....have only used the basics from there...i.e setting the motor back to standard settings, setting up the clutch etc....remembering i got my car secondhand and it had no working engine + a couple of important pieces missing here and there...so i needed some form of basic guidelines for assembly.....will definitely give you a call at some point as i'm keen to try out the nitromisers and will need some more fuel at some stage...

Cheers

If anyone needs fuel, plugs, exhaust seals etc for this weekend, better catch up with me today or tomorrow sometime. Won't be around Friday though to Monday.
Catch up at the AGM on Monday night.

Hi All,

Just wanted to say a quick thankyou to everyone who has helped me out so far....Shane A for all the parts ordering and advice, Dave B for always offering or asking if i need help, Dan and Pete for their nitro wisdom and James V for getting the Truggy to actually run....Its always tricky trying to find an appropiate means of showing appreciation other than saying THANKYOU (y

Who can get a windsock?
Want to make a flag or windsock at the top of one of those poles.
Cheap as chips of course!

Weathers going to be a bit damp, I hear, this weekend.
Probly a good time to flatten out a couple bumps on the track.
Oh well get my rc fix tonight then.
See yas there.
