Here are a couple of pics of the Yokomo YRX12 build. In typical yokomo fashion it was a really nice build and very straight forward with each step well described in teh manul and separate bags for each stage.
Some nice improvements from the R12...The front end has done away with the sway bar and is using a pushrod system that I wasnt too sure about but the first few runs on the track and the car is just awesome!!! Lots of steering input and a very stable rear. The rear pod has a new lowered motor mount and the center shock is a lot longer than previous really helping with corner exit traction.
I want to thank Matt Scoble from Yokomo NZ for the chance to get this kit when they were first released...it has been a pleasure to drive which you dont often say in the same breath with a 12th scale!...if you are thinking about buying a 12th scale definitely have a look at the YRX.

Nice work Simon,
as an added note the YRX12 has been an absolute weapon in the super smooth hands of Simon at our most recent Indoor meeting at NHRCCC with Simon TQ'ing and taking the final, so definitely worth a look if it has Simon's endorsement (y)

I have been told that 1/12 is now going to only 5min races?

What fun, will have to get a 3T motor now to use up the 8000mahs now :(

Once again we change a class so its nothing like what it is in the rest of the world!

Oh well, time to sell up the 1/12 then :(

Imagine the air you can get on the bump now you can crank them up. It's crazy and I'm guessing most of the current 12th racers aren't for it.

Yup crazy!

Guess the SI champs in 3 weeks will be my last ever 1/12 race meeting. Real shame!
Loved the whole idea of trying to get a car that is really hard to drive last 8 mins on 1cell and still to be super fast. You had to be super smooth with your driving and concentrate for the whole 8mins.

Cant see why anyone that currently races 12th would want it to be 5 mins!

I see that at the ifmar AGM that 1/12 will stay as 1S AND 8 MINS but they are going to use a control tire like the TC cars for worlds.

Also a spec 13.5 blinky 1/12 class at worlds.

With another big step being a postal vote later to decide on a formula one class coming in too!
Looks like rubber tires 190mm wide but they have not decided on 21.5 or 25T blinky!

Why hello there. Long time no see.

I'm starting to get back into things, and should be able to enter pro12 at the October NHRCCC meet.

What's everyone running across the country now?

I'll be running an Xray '16. Bit of a step up from my last 1/12th (y)

Looking forward to it.

Haha I'll be far from competitive on my first outing back.

The Xray '18 looks damn nice! https://teamxray.com/x12/2018/en/

Can someone give me a sanity check, and please confirm that pro12 is still 8 minutes?
