Roll over masts?

Anything with an Electric Motor can be discussed in here.

ive seen a few overseas sites where the guys running indoors use roll over masts.

are these legal to use here in NZ? if so are they restricted to certain classes?

Only cars would be the pan cars. It's normally a single piece of graphite. The early f1 cars were steel with a single loop. It used to be a hot topic to get it legal in nz. It never got passed and I think most have given up on the subject. It was crowd safety was the excuse.

Yes most 1:12th kits still come with a fibreglass or graphite mast. You used to twist your aerial around the mast, and hold it in place with the little rubber boot.
Not legal in NZ, which is a shame as they would make indoors with 12th's become almost self marshaling :wink:
