Is there currently much 1/10th scale racing at club and national level?

I know in Welllington its all about 1/8th scale and they run an open class for electric cars off road.

I remember back in the day there used to be 4-5 qualifying heats in 1/10th stock classes just on a normal club day.

I'd be keen on one of these cars but only if there were enough people running them to make it worth while

Plenty of intrest in 1/10th there fella, I think the NI champs just proved that. There was a lot of talk about the 224, and about the vast choice of cars avalible now over the weekend, I expect to see plenty of the 224's at the NZ EP Offroad champs next year....

Yeah, Jono (Nitrohead) was there Chris, so he saw it. Jono - you need to change your username!

Reports from overseas seem to suggest there's a fragility issue with the 22-4.

Track was pretty brutal I think Matt, plenty of breakages in the A mains even, best drivers in the world, Tamiyas, Durangos and Associateds snapped arms or chassis (!) during the event also. Phend finished them all I think with the 224.

That said, could be waffle-toast plastic used in production to save costs, wouldn't put it past Horizon....

Very much a xx4 with alloy chassis and changes in the appearance of the molds, the geo and drivetrain maps over pretty closely. If durability issues (if any) are ironed out, should go as well as that car.

the ones at the worlds were pre-production cars (8 in total).....im sure the feedback from the breakages would be noted, and changes made before they start the production run.

I'd love one of those, sounds like they've made plenty of improvements.

I've been cured of the want for one of these. Was given an original XXX-4 graphite buggy. That was put together & never used. It looks brilliant next to the Jrx2 on the top shelf. Are so tempted to use it & it even has new Novak brushless gear. Will continue enjoying the original RTR 22T. The best thing about Team Losi. Is that they're so well & over engineered. You'd have to do something insane to break it. My first buggy was a Tamiya Super Grasshopper. Which would break easily doing very little. Compared to the abuse we dish out these days. I was that impressed with my RTR 22T. I got another set for the wife & gave it to her for Xmas. Thanks to the 22-4 becoming available it was really cheap.

Is it just me, or doesn't it look like a modern XX4?
