Re: AGM/Remits

I think Nathan is right once again. If anything this rule change will mostly affect modified, as most people will still race stock. In my opinion stock is fast enough for most people now, and especially those that are maybe midfield in modified, but near the front in stock will have an easy decision...

Re: AGM/Remits

I think increasing the max charge current may not be the best idea. Most people tend to charge at the max current they can do legally. Alll that will happen is that people will ditch their cheap chargers from Hobbyking etc and buy new chargers which can do 10 amps - added cost. The other thing that ...

Re: Interesting

During any major event in the last two years in NZ, has anyone won using really expensive motors/batteries? I see Gens Ace are doing well in the ETS, I believe they are one of the cheaper batterys to buy.

I think people use batteries/motors as an excuse why they didn't win.

Re: Onroad Nationals 2017 - CMR

Gidday,

Will there be table/ chairs/ shade given to South Island competitors traveling to this event? My understanding is there is a lot of interest from the Canterbury guys to race at this event.

Thanks
Mike

Re: NZRCA Exec Meeting Bulletin - Incase you have not seen

It sounds like the lottery. Maybe I should ask a friend for the winning numbers :D

Re: NZRCA Exec Meeting Bulletin - Incase you have not seen

Gidday, I'm not quite sure how limiting tyres to 2 sets only in touring stock, is a positive? This would give a massive advantage to the host club members who know exactly what works. Everyone else would be guessing and have to bring two sets of each of their tyres which they think might work. Sound...

Re: 2016 SouthIsland Onroad Champs. CRCCC.

Another South Island's over and done with, no rain, and two full days of racing. Well done to the winners! Some highlights - Super stock using blinky was a success story. Hard to predict a winner with not a lot of difference between the top 5. Well done Ian for winning the first Super stock blinky t...

Re: NZRCA 21.5 Spec motor

As stated before the motor can't be 0 timing otherwise some people will struggle with gear ratios. Cheaper is better of course. The other thing that would be a big help would be to have spare motors available to purchase at the nats/si/ni's. At least then competitors wouldn't need so many spares.

Re: Pro12 Haters?

Well said. Theres two names that keep poping up with regards to the stock motor rule.

So realistically 95% of the people want 8 mins for 1/12 and no control motors for stock.

What can the people do? Its obvious the voting process is flawed.

Re: Pro12 Haters?

Stock motor remit.JPG Unfortunately Stock Touring and F1 share the same motor rule, so a remit to change it will always affect both classes unless some effort is made - It would have needed to be proposed as a new rule and the reference in the Stock Touring class rules changed to refer to the new m...

Re: Pro12 Haters?

Surely it would be smarter to have it for touring stock only to start with, otherwise we are literally chucking all our 21.5 motors in the bin. What did the remit say again that was passed?

Re: Pro12 Haters?

13.5 Blinky - about time it happened.

Spec motor for stock tc - I wonder how long they are going to take, to decide which motor to use in time for the new season. I can just imagine people trying to order motors, 1 week before the nationals and them not getting here on time.
